WOOHOOO!!!

I just put on my Rockhard Evap cannister skid plate.

By myself........

Took about 15 minutes.

On my back, in the ditch.....three bolts out....cannister comes loose...hold it with left hand...right hand puts skid in position...left hand lines up holes...three bolts go back in....tah-dah!!!

I feel like I killed a bear......

I feel froggy now....I might just jump into installing my ARB diff cover and my Rugged Ridge diff skid plate......

That's cool!!! I am in the same boat as you, this is the first vehicle that I actually tinkered with (besides my harley) and I really enjoy it. Besides the money that you save it is a cool feeling knowing that you did it yourself... especially after a while when more and more gets done.

There's talk on another forum, can't think of which one I read it on, but any ways, they are removing the canister all together and replacing it with a coupling on the vent tube. The guy that started the thread said it runs better and no codes.

Hey...it's the little victories! I'm in that boat too - I never worked on any of my vehicles until this one...Over lunch yesterday - I added back in my factory bumpstops onto my bumpstop extensions - no more jaw jarring bumps! It actually resolved my issue...! BTW, the front shocks are acutally correct, it was just that the hard rubber BSE was hitting the axles - now that the stocker BS's are on the ends - all is cool again. Makes you feel good to have done it yourself!!

Good for you Todd! Now you just have to keep the neighbors from calling 911 thinking your jeep ran over you in the ditch for the second or third time
