Getting antsy! Ready to go! This week is going to go by so slow. I haven't been wheeling since our New Years run to Barnwell. Man that's too long! I'm so ready.

Thanks Renee for emailing the release forms- mine are all filled out and ready.

I've downloaded and printed out the trail maps (in color Very Happy

) from Trees website. Picked up one of those rear carriers that mount in the tow receiver. Picked up some supplies yesterday. Got Skoalman's CB installed. Started getting the Jeep ready, and have the tools and equipment laid out in the garage just waiting to be packed up.

Did I mention: this week is going to go by so slow?!

I agree, I printed the maps also. Going through camping gear and putting the camera on the charger tonight.

I haven't been wheeling since Katemcy last fall. Can't wait to get out on the trails again.

Why does everyone use a truck to haul their jeeps around? Why not use another Jeep if you have to haul your "trail only rig"? Just a question, no offense meant...lol...

lol.....cause if you break it and your 6 hours from home your gonna have a long walk back or a very pricey yow bill. I am going to Trailer mine on this trip, we have been having issues. And don't want to have to walk home....lol

because the only jeep products that i know of that can haul another trail ready jeep are the older j-trucks..from the 70's and the new diesel grand cherokee, and it is $40k

my jeep and trailer together weigh around 8k lbs plus passengers and gear in the tow rig........thats alot for even a half ton pickup, really a 3/4 ton diesel would be better

on the way to tree's we got around 7.5 mpg , on the way home we did a little better getting about 9.5

i expect it would have been worse withe the 4dr on the trailer, we took the 2 dr...

rig was 08 dodge 1500 crewcab with 5.7hemi/auto...16ft trailer and an 07 2dr
