Holy crap- rain!

So it rained yesterday- hard... I left work at 6:30pm and was driving in horizontal rain. On the news I found out that we had recieved 2" in 2 hours. No big deal really...

Woke up this morning and turn on the TV to find out that all the school districts are closed due to flooding Shocked

Found out that overnight this side of town received another 9" of rain! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?! And more expected today.

My street looks fine. But watching TV I see a lot of flooding out there. Gonna be an interesting drive to work- yes, I'm still going into work. I sorta have to considering I'm sure the majority of people won't be able to make it in. So I'm sure I'll be doing multiple jobs today.

Looking at the radar map- looks like Geo's house is probably a huge mud pit. Wonder if that little bridge (in his driveway) is under water yet.

Send it this way, we still need a lot more of that precious stuff. We're in stage 1 water restrictions right now.

the area has gotten about 30" in under three weeks.

9" last night

9" Friday night

11" last Friday

I got to work over by the Galleria this morning at 6:15am.

God, I love my Jeep. I dodged flooded out trucks and mini-coopers....lol.

We only got about 5" in Crosby, but the closer I got to downtown it got worse and worse and worse.

Over in the Heights, it really sucked.
