| What is the best way to add lift without dumping every component of my current lift? I have the OME HD kit with adj. frong & rear trackbars and front upper arms. I would like to keep the springs and change out the shocks with either fox or bilstein. Adding move lift means I most likely will need extended brake lines and bumpstops and driveshafts eventually. http://www.northridge4x4.com/proddetail.php?prod=JKS-2210 My question is can I keep my springs and use the JKS Jeep JK ACOS Front Adjustable Coil Over Spacer 1-2.5in to increase my spring height? | |

| Joe, I would just use a coil spacer, not the ACOS. Or just buy some bigger springs and sell what you have. The ACOS cost as much or more than a set of new springs. | |

| you can get bigger springs with brakeline drop brackets. why not go with a 1" body lift? the gap btwn the body & frame is hardly noticable and is the least expensive route. | |

Thanks for the info, but I am looking for more ground clearance. I got a high centered a couple of times this weekend. I know a lot of this is still being a newbie and not picking a correct line; and the biggest way to correct this will come with getting out more and wheeling. I also would like to add a rear bumper with carrier and additional mounts so that will drop my rear end more. Sascha pointed out to me this weekend that I have a "fat a$$:" being I am probably carrying too much stuff with me on the trail. Next time I leave some stuff back at camp. Sascha and I took the same line on the same climb and my front passenger side started coming up and I was getting a little tipsy.

| Joe, you can grab some Poly Performance 4.5" springs for 300.00. With weight, they shoold settle 3/4 to a full inch.
I almost did the ACCOS deal, but thankfully George pointed out the flawed logic in that.

| How long, if any, could I run my stock driveshafts? Or should I wait and change lift and driveshafts at the same time? | |

| A thing to watch for the 4.5" poly springs, even when I had all the weight of my bumpers, winch, tire carrier, spare tire etc..., I still had about 5" of lift. Now with everything off, it's jumped back up to probably around 6" | |

I don't know if you have an automatic? The front driveshaft is a problem for the auto and 3+ lift. I am trying to be proactive and make some room for my stock front driveshaft with my lift. I will fine tune it once I lift it and flex it out to see if I need to do a little more. Basicly I put two large washers under the side mounts of the transmission skid and did some cutting on the edge of the skid. I think the section just behind that will need some trimming but i don't want to weaken it too much. I plan on using Tom Woods shafts front 1310. I know they are high quality and a much narrower profile.
