| Looking for some feedback on these. I'm not a serious crawler and am mainly looking to make the Jeep safer for the family if a rollover should happen. I saw this thread and it made me think about this: http://www.myjeepforum.net/write-up-s-how-to-s-f11/or-fab-sport-cage-install-t2752.htm?highlight=cage . I've seen the ORF (in the above thread) and Rock Hard kits online, is there anything else you've seen/used? I think I'd be interested in a bolt on kit that can be removed if needed. I haven't convinced myself that I'm getting one but am just kicking around the idea - I still want to lift and armor the JK, but safety should take precedence I suppose! Thanks in advance, Art | |

| If you have the budget to get a full cage done I would highly recommend it. I know what the stock JK cage does in a rollover at bout 40-50 and i would rather get rid of the weak bars in it | |

| Thanks for the info. What kind of budget are you talking about for a full cage? Also, the few full/weld in cages that I've seen seem very intrusive to interior space (mainly in the cargo area). The sport cages don't seem to take up much more room. I need to do more research... | |

I didn't see a JK Poison Spider Cage on their website...am I blind? The Poly Performance cage is nice but it takes up a bit of interior room (footwell area). I liked the ones I mentioned above since they seem to be the least destructive of OEM parts (if that makes sense) and are a more factory look. If these bolt on kits don't do much at highway speeds, then I probably would look at something different. On a side note, I can't seem to find the ORF JK cage on their website either. Like I said above, I'm still kicking around the idea and need to read-up some more. Keep the feedback coming though, I appreciate it!!

| A ful cage can be done with out taking up alot of interior space with the exception of one, the footwell area but even then unless your driving a manual the space is very minimal | |

...but thats just me Agreed, would love a full cage, have some ideas for dealing with the footwell, not afraid to pull the dash and set all that up nice either. In fact would love to do a quick release setup for removing the windshield when crawling. I'm curious now what a decent bender would cost. I know what a TIG setup would cost me now, don't mind a little grinding for the pipefitting, don't have to have the fancy notchers, have no issues with just taking my time with a plasma cutter and a little grinding, but my big thing is clean welds, I've seen some shit and seen some ok cage welding lately and am not going to settle. A bender would be nice to build a few other items as well, tube doors, desert racing style spare tire holder and whatever else I conjure up in my head. I'd be happy with a bender that uses a hand hyd-jack...lol...such a thing exist?
