| My buddy took the pics he likes to mess with that stuff.
From what I hear the best time to go is early spring, 1st week in March, when there is cool nights and warm days.
Just FYI we spent one night in the basin (elevation ~5000') and it was 58 degrees when we woke up. During the day in the dessert it got up to 96 degrees. | |

| Very nice! That looks like it was a lot of fun (and a little bit of work). Every time I see a TJ or LJ Rubi I get a little jealous, but now that I've got a 241 coming to me, that will help minimize that effect  | |

| Good pictures. Great close up of the acorn woodpecker. FYI, those that are wanting to go to Big Bend and stay in the parks lodges.....resevations must be made almost a year in advance. They stay booked well in advance for fall, winter and spring. Summer may be differnt due to the heat. RV spaces are first come first serve. All this is based when we went about 5 years ago. Mike | |
