Just wanted to verify I am on the right track. LOL
The Rancho lift comes with extended trackbar brackets you weld in place. But if I order the JKS trackbars they are longer and I wont have to use the brackets that come with the Rancho lift correct?

Thats how I did my XJ so thats why I am asking .

The trackbar brackets lower your roll center to compensate for the lift. Some also move the mounting hole over a little to compensate for the distance as well. many kits come with trackbar brackets and adjustable trackbars to be used in conjuction with one another.

if you have a front trackbar bracket, you should also raise your draglink by doing a "flip kit" on the knuckle to put your trackbar and draglink as close to parallel as possible.

Sound like the same deal I did to my XJ they were parallel.

But on the JK with the 4" lift I didnt think you needed to do all that

You don't have to do it. but it helps with the handling and drivability on the street. With a flip kit and trackbar bracket, it should eliminate most of the additional bumpsteer you'll get from the lift.

Ok cool I will get the trackbar and check into the OTK setup.

I used a 1ton setup from a company in Michigan on my XJ and still have the reamer to do the knuckles.

Constantine,

Do the flip. It drives much much better. I would do the brackets too. The JK front and rear track bar brackets are notoriously weak.

Check poly performance for the hd drag link and track bar bracket braces. Poly also makes a nice hd tie rod. The drag link and tie rods from poly have pinch sleeves so you can adjust them on the jeep. It makes adjustments so much easier.
