PostSubject: short arm vs long arm   Thu 17 Feb 2011, 3:36 pm

Hey guys im about to put a 4" suspesion lift on my rubicon and i have been doing some research on the different kinds of lifts and I am wondering is there a major difference in a long arm and short arm besides the money haha. my jeep is not an everyday driver and i will be just doing some mild trail ridding and alittle bit of minor rock crawling does anyone have any suggestions on the one that would be the best?

With the long arm kit you have more travel for on the road and offroad
For my 2 cents if your looking at mild wheeling the short arm will do
fine with a 4 inch kit.
I run a short arm 4" on my TJ and drive it everyday with out a problem.

Save yourself some money and just buy a spring lift with adjustable control arms and shocks. Check out Full Traction, it's what I run. With the OEM bushings at the frame it rides quite and smooth.

I like Rock Krawler, they have long & short arm kits. Talk to Marcus @ RiverCity Offroad he carries Tera Flex & Synergy also.
