PostSubject: Another newb from SA   Wed 18 Apr 2012, 12:59 am

Hey guys,

I came across the forum tonight, so I thought I'd register. I have a 2000 TJ and wheeled a couple of times with TJC a few years ago. Snapped an axle at Katemcy and just never got around to fixing it. I finally stopped procrastinating and have been getting everything put back together and really getting the itch to get back into the off-road scene again. Just thought I'd say hello. hey

Jeep Specs:
4.0L
RE 5.5" extreme duty long arm lift
HP Dana 30 front axle
Ford 8.8 rear axle
Currie rear CV driveshaft
ARB lockers front/back
Warn 9.5tm winch
35 x 12.50 x 15 Kumho Road Venture MT KL71
York On Board Air kit
Airraid intake/Borla Catback

Sup, Robert!

Thanks guys. I won't be able to make Hidden Falls this weekend, unfortunately. That place looks pretty cool.

As it's only been running again for about a week or so(and very few miles so far), and I don't have a tow vehicle, I still don't have 100% confidence in it as of yet. I actually just re-hung the exhaust today after taking it over to a buddy's to get some welding done to repair some tears in the bumper. I now have the worlds ugliest borla muffler.

I was thinking I'd stay local a bit longer before venturing out or acquiring some sort of tow rig (beg/borrow/steal?). But I live really close to Clines Ranch so that's looking really attractive to me right now Very Happy

Welcome. What's great about this group is we make sure you get ou alive. Most of us drive our rigs there instead of tow. We're not a wheel it unroll you break it kind of group, that's just plain no fun!

Welcome. Renny said it well! Your Jeep is much better set up than many, (especially mine) and we daily drive and beat on these vehicles on the weekends, and build up and repair them with other members.

Yeah, the tow rig part is mostly because the jeep has more miles on it from my trip to Lowes yesterday than it does the last 2 yrs. I'm more worried about it just giving out enroute than anything else Smile I still have a couple of minor things to do - like re-run an airline for my rear locker - the exhaust fell on it and melted right through it, but that should be the biggest thing I have left. Looking forward to hitting the trails again - althought I'll likely be a bit tamer than I used to be.
