PostSubject: New to Forum, from the Woodlands   Sat 30 Jun 2012, 11:06 am

I've known about this forum for a while, and it appears that quite a few locals are pretty active on this site. I've seen a couple JK's running rockrash4x4 stickers on the windshield around the Woodlands. We have a 2010 Unlimited Rubicon thats pretty boring with some 33 inch Falkens at the moment due to a new baby that's due in less then 2 weeks. It's already gone through a few different phases, and hopefully by my birthday in November it'll be back at least on 37s, if not 40s. Oh, and this is my wife's jeep. I sold my rockcrawler to help fund the purchase, and we've taken it to hidden falls a few times and she loves wheeling. She's done all the damage to the jeep so far (ripped off tail light, scratched top, side on light flop, and a torn sidewall on a 37 bfg km2) Eventually I'm hoping to build another tube buggy after we purchase a house in this area. Ok, enough blah blah.

Wife likes mudding.. I've already learned that it sucks cleaning it all off. lol

and here's the current setup

I've always been more of a toyota guy, to be honest. I've owned XJ's, YJ's, TJ's and now a JK but solid axle toyotas are hard to beat in reliability and crawlability. Here's a couple of yotas i've had over the years.

92 4runner on 1 tons and 38s

the Raisin was a 91 toyota on 38s, built axles and dual cases that was bobbed and dovetailed in the back with a healthy amount of rock rash that just got painted over every time to keep the rust down. lol. A guy named Sean owns it now and it is flatbedded and looks alot different now.

My 85 4runner with built axles, 4.7 transfer case, interior cage etc. i miss this one alot. its in dallas now AFAIK

Hey, nice rigs man. I like yota's myself although have yet to build a crawler out of one. They had some stout stock running gear.

As you know, the JK platform is great. Contrary to what a lot of people think, it is a great wheeling machine.

See you at the next event.

Tim
