next mod???

so now i've got 4.88s on 285/70s. My speedo is off and that means my odometer is off also. So i got some cash and wondering if i should go for the xenon flat fenders or a hypertech. problem is, i only got nuff for one or the other, not both . there in lies my dilema, which one?

(complete right up on the gears in about 2 weeks, i wanna put about 1000 miles on them).

You can live with the speedo being off (many of us are LOL). Just don't go in for any warranty work while the programming is off.

I would go for the hypertech programmer, but only because I don't like the Xenon fenders.

Totally agree those finders are silly... seriously.. they proably cost more than the mopar OEM replacements. So rockn' till you rip the off then go get another set from the dealer it will be cheaper and your keep won't look like a nun in the 1940's nun outfits with those silly hats.

Of course the other option instead of Xenon's is a body lift which will give you just about the same amount of space as the Xenon's

body lift aint a bad idea. if i went that route, i could buy a programmer & body lift for about the same price as the fenders :idea:

i would invest that into rear axle shafts or steel tube fenders.

For reference.

Prior to the body lift, I was rubbing my fenders everytime I flexed a little. Now after the body lift, here I am at full flex and zero rubbing on the fender

that would be nice, but i dont go hard core enough for rear shafts and if i went with tube fenders i'd only be able to do the fronts right now.... also not a bad idea, but then my odometer & speedometer would still be off. since i like to cruise at 5 mph over the speed limit, it gets kinda spooky when i see a cop in my rearview & dont know how fast i'm really going.

So.... programmer 1st. then save up for something later.

I just dive five under. Easy stuff.

N2R did the body lift give you a gap between rear bumper and body?

The 2" BDS body lift comes with a bracket to move the rear bumper up where it belongs. So no gap

I want to go higher I have a 2.5 BB but can I add springs or something to take it a little higher without having to spend alot and relocate EVERYTHING else? I love your jeep N2Rock!!! What all did you do to get that space?

2.5" BB (with additional 3/4" spacer up front to compensate for the bumper & winch) and 2" Body Lift

Rene, I couold make you a deal on some 3" Black Diamond springs

How much will the springs raise me up, do I need the body lift too?

You would be about the same height as Steve-O's, just about a 3/4" lower.

What set up do you have right now, and what combo are you thinking about having with the BL?

If no lift, the BL will look fine. If you have any amount of lift currently, the 33's will look small

I still think you should buy my old springs for $150.00, and I'd even sell you the M-Force shocks for another $150.00.

I have a 2.5 BB and want my rig a little higher. I have 33's on 15" wheels. After they wear out I want 35's but that will be awhile.

4 1/2" on 33's would be a bit much. i would either go with the 3" springs, or do a 1" BL.
