What to do??? What to do???

Alright, I have a stock jeep (I know.. I know...) And now get the fun of changing all of that... problem is I can't do anything big (over $100 at one time) till after an Ireland trip in September (wife remembered that promise on signing day)... so where do I start on my budget????? CB??? Handles??? MyJEEPforum.net stickers??? Beer??? Hi-Jack??? WHERE DO I START??? :mischieviousbi

I would start with recovery gear since you don't really have alot of money to spend all at once

Recovery gear, and then maybe a CB. Grab handles are really going to be handy when you put a lift on your Jeep.

as stated, recovery gear is a must.

Did your X come with hooks front & rear? If not, that should be your first priority. Keep an eye out and you can pick up a front bumper (with hooks) cheap from someone that installed an aftermarket bumper. Or just buy some stock hooks and cut the necessary hole in the bumper.

If you do already have hooks, then get a strap.

My next suggestion would be some JKS Quick Disconnects. I disconnected mine with the stock links a few times, and realized what a huge PITA it is to do. Didn't take me long to realize the benefit of spending the dollars on the quick disconnects.

I SUGGEST buying beer and strippers for each trail run, with these essintials you could concievably run the rubicon in a powder blue prius because EVERYOne is going to help you........and mudhound will do anything for you

since you are on a small budget, you are gonna be a bit limited.

i would do the rear shock bracket relocate ($125)
grab handles ($40)
stubbify your front & rear bumper (free)
paint your A/C rings ($12)
custom grill mod ( less than $60)
1.5" spider trax Wheel spacers (can be found used for about $100)
replace soundbar speakers ($70 ebay)
make sidemarkers blink with turn signals ( less than $5)

he was looking for things UNDER $100. i never claimed they were offroad mods. they are just small things to do while you are waiting to get some bigger stuff. little things that are easy to do and give you a chance to personalize your Jeep.

i didn't mention CB because it had been said. the quick discos... i never thought of that since they were part of my lift kit. the custom grill is the mesh that helps keep rocks from hitting your radiator - not for bling, but for functionality.

a strap - is that really a mod? necessary - yeah.. a mod.. no.

why do a budget boost when he will be able to get a real lift after the trip?

i would like to request my "MAN CARD" back. If you look at the other cars I have owned and been around my previous forums, you will see that i am worthy.

Mac - the trip to Ireland is gonna kick ass! I have folks in Northern Ireland... rent a Jeep and take the top off!!! Or rent a motorcycle!!!

Anyway , I was on a serious budget when I got mine waaay back in November.... I got the recovery gear and a CB first then knew that I wanted a front bumper and a winch - everything else (except for food and bills) was second to my bumper.... next was the sliders (trust me on this one)... next the rear bump.... next is skids etc..... I have a jeep fund where I rat hole money, it seems to get spent faster than I can save it. I did make $1400 selling stuff on Craigslist in a little over two weeks....

you have a rubi so you are already ahead... work out a budget and make a list of what YOU want. The time will go by faster than you think.
