Surprise

Well guys let me start off by saying Bobby and I have been married for 11 years...during this time we have never given each other gifts for BD's, X-MAs,Valentines etc, etc., usually only a card. We have so many kids we just spent the money on them. This year for some reason Bobby asked me if I wanted something for valentines day, and ya know after 11 years why not...sure I said why don't you buy me a box of chocolates, he said ok. Well Saturday was here and out came the cards, I waited and thought did he get me chocolates??? Nope not on your life, I thought well after 11 years he just forgot, or worse maybe he thought I didn't need chocolate Suspect

. Don't worry, I didn't throw a fit, I didn't yell, I didn't even really feel bad about it I just wondered why... why me...why couldn't he have gotten me chocolate..didn't I deserve it??? Sad

Well today was a different day, in the garage when I got home was my real Valentines gift...a 8000lb Smittybuilt winch!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks alot Bobby. Way to set the bar so friggin high for the rest of us. I will be working on the new dog house for the back yard that sleeps one. I think the general rule for Valentines is about 100 bucks which would include dinner, flowers, chocolates, and a card. NOT AN 8000 LB SMITTY WINCH. Congrats Renee on the new winch, and Bobby, we'll need to have a little talk at the next install meet. :soldier:

Boy...talk about dog house! I had to go to NY for work and on Valentines day - I opened my suitcase and found a card and gift from Joanny!...worst part was I forgot to get her a card/chocolate!! affraid

I thought we'd pass on it as I was away but, nope - the wifey planned ahead...not me, the typical husband! ugh!

Boy - did I get the look! (for those married more than 3 years...you know the look!)

I know that look quite well. However as I have gotten further along in my marriage I return the look with my own....something like a "Does it look like I give a shit...get it yourself!!" look. affraid
