WTF??????

I guess its been a looooong time since I bought some tires.

Went by 4WP today to pick up my new skid, and thought I would ask the counter guy what the total cost of 4 BFG KM2's, (285/70 17) would be drive out...balance, mount, the whole 9 yards.

He said he would give me a good deal on them.

I almost passed out when he quoted me.........sit down now.......$2482.00

If thats the case, I'll just carry the damn Jeep on my back....

But that sounds high. I got 5 BFG KM2's 35" size AND 5 Crager wheels for $1800 at Discount Tire.

I got four 37s for 1100 bucks

I bought 3 Irok 37-14.00 15's for 786.00 at 4wheelparts about 5 weeks ago.

You would have to get them mounted and balanced, take the extra $600 and spend it on somthing else on the Jeep...

Yeah been there done that, the KM2s aren't cheap, but are excellent tires, so far Discount's been able to beat anyone's deals, they want the business, bottom line is they are just stupid expensive these days.

How hard would it be to cause a blow out or slice or hole in a tire for a warrenty to replace it? They say if it can't be patched it is replaced.

"Opps I accidently drove over a cactus patch again? Where is my replacement?"

Well, pulled the trigger today.

4 BFG KM2's in the size I wanted. Went by 4WP and showed the guy several cheaper deals and got mine lots cheaper than originally quoted.

So, everyone came out ahead. 4WP sold some tires, I get 4 new tires for less and I still get to stay married.

Now I just have to wait until bonus time so I can get a spare to match and new wheels.
