So, yesterday, I took a gutted AC inverter and installed the AC outlets in the back of my console, all nice and tidy like they belong there from the factory. I also added a fan kill switch, that I'll do a write-up for, if jdldx3 doesn't want to =)
With a press of a switch, up to 800 watts of AC power available. Enough to run a couple of laptops, or a 500 watt work light for those late night trail fixes.

The DC->AC inverter is turned on and off by a momentary switch on my switch panel.
