My Mom

Claudina is taking Mom to the Methodist Hospital ER in the medical center.

She is having real bad pain in her stomach, radiating up into her chest. Not good.

Of course she would not let us call 911 because they would have taken her to Baytown. So she is enroute to Methodist where all her doctors are.

So I am staying here with Dad, until we find out what is going on. If they admit her, we will switch places and I will be staying with Mom in the hospital.

I'm not one for praying much, but I hear there are no atheists in foxholes, so I might give it a shot.

My prayers are with you and your mom.

Just talked to Mom at the ER.

She is not hurting anymore, so now she wants to come home.

Of course, I said BS. She is gonna stay there in that ER until they find out what was wrong, or say it was not her heart. If only she was not so damned hard headed. I guess I know where I get it from...

Anyway, I told Claudina to make sure the ER people run a EKG and a cardiac enzyme test on her. From what I understand, very little, if part of the heart dies in a heart attack, the enzyme released by the dead tissue will show up in a blood test. Renee???

She has an appointment with her cardiologist on Tuesday. Gonna do a stress test on her...the chemical one...dont think she would make it on the treadmill with two titanium knees.....

Yep!!!! Me too. Nothing more impt than family!

And you are correct - the enzymes will show if someone's heart is having trouble - that coupled with a good 12 lead look. And a good Cardiologist to put it all together.
