| Hey - I'm gonna pick up that craigslist soft top tomorrow - I saw the pic in the listing and it is the top all in the what looks like a bag with a red tape around it (proving it's not been opened). My question is - aside from what's "inside" that roll...do I need any specific hardware attached elsewhere on the Jeep to make the top attach properly? Bolts, clips, rails??? If anyone has a factory dual top and knows what it takes to setup the soft top when you pull off your hard top - please let me know...I want to be able to get whatever is missing from the person I'm picking it up from while I'm there as it's a long ride to San Antonio!
thanks in advance!!!!!

| Tony- I think it is mostly self contained. The things that are separate are the door surrounds. Make sure you get those. | |

| i think there are some clips that attache to the roll cage. parts 19, 20 & 21 in the illustration. when i bought my jk and almost got the dual top until they told me they wanted 600 to install it because they needed to weld brackets to the roll cage when they just bolt to existing holes. that was about the 3rd time i almost walked out. | |

| When I bought my Jk, the soft top itself was stored in a leather type bag. The windows came in a seperate box as well as the door surrounds. The mounting brackets that attach the arms of the soft top to the roll cage were already mounted. So you should have two #20's (mounting brackets), four #14's, and two #30's, two #15's (front door surrounds), and two #31's (rear door surrounds). Plus the windows and one #23, one #10, and one #32. I think I listed everything if I remember correctly. I think I forgot four #7's (the screws for the soft top arms to attach to the bracket). I can't tell by the picture if #7 are the screws or #21 or #20(sorry, hope i didn't confuse you). | |

| Hell I have a brand new never been used 2007 4 door JK soft top sitting in my storage room right now. The only thing that didn't come with it was the 2 rear side windows and the rear window that zip in. Maybe I can make you a deal on it. | |

It's supposed to be the whole soft top - frame and all...it came as the dual top option but the guy just took out the big rolled up top and stuck it in storage. I just wanted to know if there were parts that might not be in there so when I go over his place today - I can be like...oh, I need that, and that, and that too! LOL! All the info above is great - I'll have to print that diagram and take it with me!

The brackets as well were already attached to the roll bar so he/she should have taken those off and give those to you as well. If i remember right, one of the boxes that had the door surround screws and the clips for the back window bar.

Do you guys think it's worth $200 if it doesn't have the side windows and the rear window? I'm having serious doubts about that as I could get a Bikini top for like $120 which would essentially be the same thing. What do ya think?

just the frame and vinyl top...nothing else. he was going to re-list it as a replacement top if you already have one and all the hardware.

| if you are still looking for a soft top there is one on that other forum for $600 in friendswood. price could be better but he might come down, money makes ppl do crazy things. Black Soft Top - installed once for 3-4 days and then stored. All attachment equipment included. $600 email me at puck_pirate@comcast.net for more info. | |
