Jeeps Official Geocaching contest

did you know every year Jeep does a geocaching contest? They release a number of Jeep Travel Bugs. The contest runs for a very short while what you do is find the bug and take a pic of it the person who takes the best pic wins a new Jeep. The 2008 contest is already over and they have not done the 2009 and contest yet, but while geocaching i found a few of the 2007 bugs and took pics of them.

we found one in Cypress, Tx and found the other in college station

yes I was laying down in the gravel and wood chips at the park...it was funny when I got up I was covered in dirt, gravel, and wood chips....lol

we have also found one of an off road addition that is being done in houston I will post pic of it in a min

ok- how do you locate just the Jeep caches? I went to jeep.geocaching.com then entered my zip code. It then sends me over to the normal geocache web page and shows ALL the caches, not the Jeep ones. I poked around on that web page looking for a way to just search the Jeep ones, and can not find any way to filter the search for just jeeps.

it's hard to just filter out the Jeep ones but if you are a paying member you can filter out just ones with Trackables in them. It will give you a list with everything in your area with a travel bug and the ones with Jeeps will have a Pic of a Jeep on it, but you have to do a Query search, found in the legend one the right on any maps page. If you are not a paying member I can do the foot work for you and give you the name of each Cache in your area that has a jeep in it.
