I put a big dent in my steering damper... its got a nasty leak that seems to have "fixed" itself :duh:

Plus I added the "bent tailpipe mod" and check out the water line on the bumper.... that is as close as you can get without getting the inside soaked....

My sliders earned their keep again - it is hard to tell in the pic but there is an 8" gash in the slider that would have been on the body....

Beat my skids up on the rocks quite a bit... .will be upgrading those eventually:

Witnessed a crapload of damage to other rigs including multiple tires off of rims, broken axle shafts, broken steering rods, broken drive shafts, torn fenders, body damage to every side, one muffler had to be sawed off because it was flattened and one drive shaft boot.... other than that it was quiet.

On which one.... I would say "Hard Trails" and a bad bounce on the steering dampener... that thing is tucked between stuff.... it just bounced the right direction. LilRedRubi saw it when it hit. As for the axle shaft, I am not sure how he did it, we showed up just as it "sho nuff" broke. He had just made a steep but fairly easy climb. So it had to have been ready to break before he went up.

The trail damage I saw was from a wide variety of stuff. Ron's steering damper was just a bad bounce and poor engineering on Jeep's part. At least one axle shaft was mismatched equipment (tires to big for the axle). The exhaust that had to be saws-all'ed was too much trail for the rig (essentially a stock Grand on Wet & Wild). There were several flops Friday night from wheelin' in the dark. Glad I missed that night run. Saturday evening's night run/recovery run on Wet & Wild was actually uneventful.

All said, everyone I saw left with a grin on their face.
