decent ammo prices?????

anyone out there know any places to get a decent price on some 5.56 and/or .45 bulk ammo? i've been combing the shelves at walmart for the 100 rd boxes of winchester .45 fmj. but it's always sold out. used to be $29.99 now $39.99. the 5.56 is going for about .50 cents a round. hard time finding some surplus m855 or prvi ss109 for less than that. a little over a year ago i order 1000 rnds of m855 (or xm855) for about $365.00 shipped. now i've been seeing prices from $475.00 to $600.00 .... don't even get me started on .308

any of our law inforcement friends have any connections with suppliers or distributors?

damn prices suck right now. soooo tapped out, but i've been wanting to get out to the range, but fruckin A, with prices what they are, i can't afford it. :soldier: shit!

Back in the day, I used to reload a lot. 257 Roberts, 243, 270, 45 & 44 mag.

All this was on a RCBS Rockchucker, one round at a time.

Just recently I thought about getting a Dillon and doing 308, but that initial expenditure on dies, bullets, primers, powder and all the other little things needed slowed me down. That and having to chase 308 brass all over God's creation.....

Better to be chasing 308 brass than running from it :soldier: :taz:

back in the day i used to run thru about 200 rounds a day every 2 or 3 months. about 1000k a year (before the jeep ). wish i had $$ for all my hobbies.
