Katemcy Rocks Memorial Weekend - Photos & Vids

I had fun making this one.... wanted it to start slow and gain momentum over time. It rained both afternoons so I had some time to fool with it while sipping on some Crown... I didn't get as many the second day, we packed up when we thought that the rain wasn't going to break and as soon as we had everything ready to go the clouds broke and it turned nice. The rest of the group went back out and I regretted not going back out just as soon as I turned out the gate...

I had a blast, that place "rocks" like no other.

Yep! Joanny caught your rig from the passenger side with your tire up in the air! I'll post it in a bit...I was a few cars behind you when you did that...good thing I didn't see you do it! hehe! Ron actually gave me the courage to run that one so I chased him up it! LOL!

It was the first obstacle Sunday. I gave it too much skinny pedal and my passenger front tire went up and I was teedering. My brother-in-law said he just had to put a couple of fingers on it to push it down. My daughter and nephews, once we were teedering, all asked at the same time if they could get out. Timmay backed me down and put me on a different line. I was a little "gun shy" for the rest of the day.

I remember it now!!!! I didn't realize that you got tipsy on it. I remember Tim saying that it might get a little squirrely at the top. Steady pedal and ease through it. I am glad that Akonius didn't see it!!! I remember the look on his face a few times, he was like NFW.... There was no doubt in my mind that his rig could make it and that he could drive it - you could take ten different lines and get ten different results on that one climb - wow that place is cool.

I am thinking about going back in June.... just don't know if I can swing it.

I would like to give some major props to Goldenboy for this weekend. There were a lot of times I thought there is no way he is getting over those rocks. It truly is the driver/spotter not the rig.

What a great time! Wish you hadn't split out Sunday during the rain. During the rain that place emptied out. When the rain was gone we went out and the trails were nearly empty. We wheeled until dark and hardly saw any other rigs.
