Ok.... first off I am freakin snockered!!!

I compete on a technical rescue team (high angle / confined space / EMT) and we just won a world championship in Nevada at the University of Nevada - Reno Fire Science Academy!!! We took second in the 4 man EMT rescue (which f'n sucks) and first place in the 7 man heavy rescue competition which kicks freakin' azz!!!!

I will show my son, he is hoping to be a fireman. He just passed his EMT basic and is headed for paramedic next, he takes the fireman's test again (second time) in August. He will love this.

Still a little hazy from last night and all day traveling but I did manage to get a few photos uploaded..

















And while we were there we took a tour of a working gold mine which was some interesting stuff. I learned that they get about .002 ounces per ton of dirt. They have 42 dump trucks that carry 240 tons a load and run them 24/7 - 364 days a year. They average about 62000 pounds of 96% pure gold a year.
