| I picked up an Ultimate air CO2 for the Longs trip. I actually didn`t need to air down once I arrived, but it was nice to have this to help others air up as well as air up my queen size air mattress. I got the 10 lb. LT package. I wanted the XT but the vendor that i went with didn`t have one in stock in time for the trip. Anyway, this is a great addition to your trail kit. I added the steel reg protector handle just in case. I am pleased with the performance of this unit. I was able to air up 2 Jeeps with 35 in tires at about one minute per tire. My air bed took about 5 mins. The reg and part of the hose froze up a bit, but nothing to get excited about. This tank supposedly will air up about 30 - 35 inch tires before having to be refilled. I took it to a weldors supply for filling, and it cost about $11 bucks. Over all I`m impressed with it`s function. Price I paid was about $330 total. Seems high for some, but the great thing about this is I can use my impact driver which I brought along to use for tire removal, as well as various other air tools. Drill, air ratchet, die grinder etc. are all great to have on the trail. I can even use it for work! The quality is comparible to Powertank. Fit & finish are great. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an alternate air supply. http://www.ultimate-air.com/ | |
