When my Jeep is turned on the static on my CB is unbearble but when I turn off my Jeep the static gose away, what can I do?

try hooking it up stright to the battery, if that does not work add a noise filter in the power line

there are only a few things that can cause that, one is a loose connection, another is a lose ground,

what radio are u using?

its a cobra, now the anttena plug fits but dose dose not screw on tight on the radio and some times falls out? ill have to check out the ground wire.

the ant. wire being loose can also cause a problem, i had the same issue a while back and went and bought a new ant. cable one of the nicer ones, and tightend up my groud and it fixed the problem...... which cobra do u have?

Honestly I dont know I bought it off of Jdub who got it out of a trade, I'll have to look at it. It could be the antenna its one of those $10 ant from Wal mart

what? Your saying the coax cable is so loose on the CB side that it sometimes falls out? That's a big problem. The coax should fit all the way in and screw on tight. If it doesn't, you'll introduce RF interference, which is exactly what you are describing.

So why won't it fit?

Did you run you coax near your power wires? If so, I think that can introduce static.

CB is the only time I buy factory caped wires, it's so sensitive. I know what I am doing, and can't get a good enough connection... unlike cable in your house.

Double check your grounds, and fix that antenna, if that does not do it, barrow a different unit plug into your set up, that will tell you if it's the unit or the set up.
