| Hills and Dales would work for me, if that's what people want. I'm not a big fan of Chris Madrid's in general, really, but I think the main problem will be parking. Parking is usually an issue anyway, but with a bunch of Jeeps descending on them we may face either long walks or potential parking tickets as we take advantage of the off-road capabilities of our vehicles to park across the street in odd ways. Hey, maybe we can stack the Jeeps to squeeze in tighter anyway | |

| Really? What, do you drive a Compass? Is this a lunch or dinner meeting? Covered outside seating (e.g. Chester's) really isn't bad in the evening, but I can understand that not being preferable. If that's the case, though, I'd say Rudy's due to their big open interior and long picnic table style seating (much like Chester's). | |

| "in" or "is"?
I'm down for Rudy's in Leon Springs (outside 1604 on I-10 toward Boerne, around Ralph Fair Road for those who don't know off the top of their heads). Where are most people located? Further in town works, too. It'd be cool to stack the Chester's parking lot at 10 and Wurzbach with Jeeps, for instance, and they've got a large number of seats in the porch area facing the highway, where we could be noisy and deal with business and such.
Of course, we could also take over the parking lot of the several places at The Rim (NE corner of 10/1604) like Habaneros, a great local burrito joint, or Red Robin for slightly overpriced burgers, or Tiago's for nearly always delicious Mexican food with a nice outdoor area. There are actually tons of places in the Rim that would work.
How many people are we expecting, really? I we can get an estimate, I have no problem calling up any of these places and asking if they'd reserve some outdoor seating (where applicable) for us or otherwise arrange to make sure they know to expect a large group. Otherwise I'll leave that up to whichever person is the designated organizer. Renee? | |
