Situation with Tony aka Akonius

Subject: Situation with Tony aka Akonius Tue 14 Jul 2009, 5:21 pm

I am posting this per Tony's request.

At 4:30am July 14th Tony had a heart attack at his home in Katy. His wife rushed him to Memorial Herman Hospital located at Gessner and I-10. It was found that he had a blood clot pass threw his heart and that is what caused the attack, but the clot had passed by the time he checked in at the hospital. Tony is doing fine. The doctor has him on blood thinners for the foreseeable future and is keeping him for observation for the next few days. He wanted me to let everyone here know that he is doing ok and askes that you pray for him and his family. I was with him from 8am until 3pm today and his spirits are high. He wanted me to post this to let all of his Jeep family know that he is doing OK and he might not be posting for a few days. I told him that I think everyone would understand. LOL

When we get more information I will post here per Tony's request.

Oh man, I'm glad to hear he made it through ok - here's wishing him and his family well for a speedy recovery. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

Wow! I'm so sad to hear this!!!!! I'll be praying for him and his family. And as Steve said "please have him call us when he is able to."

Wow, that's a pretty scary ordeal to go through. I don't know Tony, but I wish him well!

Tony - words cannot say how glad I am to hear that you made it through that!! Some folks don't get a second chance when it comes to that stuff. Thank God, Buddy!

If anyone watches the show "Rescue Me"..... in the last episode (Wheels) where they play a little prank on a buddy who is in the hospital - a male nurse/stripper starts out asking for a sperm sample and ends up dancing in a thong..... is a freakin riot!!!

We could do that!!!!

Glad you made it through bud, I need to come see ya manana on the way home. I know that hospital quite well and can tell which nurses to avoid like the plague. Also, be happy to help anyway I can when you get back home.
