| I'm a forum dork. So, it's possible you have seen me on other forums. I am on; texas rock crawlers, jk-forum, jeepforum, texas4x4, jocojeepclub forum, dfw-tx4wd(primarily texas rock crawlers). I was turned to this forum by a fella I sold a rear cj axle to, and some old cj tires and wheels. I am currently president of Rivers Edge 4x4. I live in Lake Side Village(lake whitney). I have been wheeling since I was 13(10 years now). I still own my very first jeep, although I have had a few others on the side. I am 50%rock crawl, 35% trail, 10% sand and 5% mud guy. I typically go to BMRA(barnwell mountain) and Rock Creek(lipan). I currently have 3 jeeps...... My CJ(aka.. O'l green), my JK(aka... Rattle Can), and my TJ(aka... li'l man). O'l green does nothing more than look pretty and go out on pretty days. Rattle Can, is my d/d and has been being abused for the past 2 1/2 years. li'l man, well li'l man is still kind of a work in progress, but has been to rock creek a few times. Enough of the talk...... PICS> Rattle Can...... 35's, lift, winch bumper, sliders, old winch, locrite, and slight body damage......lol Li'l man..... TJ, 4.0, teralow, 20" triple stage king coil overs w/ resevoirs, triangulated 4 link front & rear, unimog 404's, 44" boggers, exo cage, hydro steering, and an easy button from staples... Best for last.... O'l green(my jeep for 9 years in the making)....... 304 v8, stock tranny & t-case, D30 w/ detroit, warn inners & outers, and mm hubs, amc 20 w/ detroit, yukon 1 piece chromolly shafts, 4.56 r&p, warn 9.5 ti, warn spare tire carrier bumper combo, Rubicon Express 4.5" lift w/ YJ front springs, shackle reversal w/ 2" shackles, 35's, lots of love and blood..... And the day I bought it....... for 2k.... | |

| Thanks for the welcome, guys...... Maybe I can get in on one of y'alls runs some time. Is anyone going to gilmer, rock creek, bridgeport or clayton before the end of the year? - Mr.RonGilbert wrote:

As far as that goes, that has nothing to do with me, and I have nothing to do with that. I have been a member on JK-forum since like april of '07. Nowadays, I only get on to tell peeps about events I go to, and places I go in the Lonestar section. I personally have no problem w/ eddie(wayolife). Edit/add: IMO, JKF has a lot of information for guys new to the sport, and are learning about their jeeps. I would recomend anyone w/ a new jk to check it out. There is lot's of wright ups and tech about pretty much anything that has been done to a JK. I do think that if you are past that point and are ready for more info... go to pirate or trc..... lot's O info on their sites......

| For Jeep owners, you're more likely to get accurate advice from JeepForum.com in the technical sections. Too many chest-bumping douchebags on Pirate who try to convince everyone to do whatever they themselves have done to their rig and will defend its honor to ridiculous degrees. It's good for a lot of things, but as a sole source of info, not so much. | |

You need to check out www.JKowners.com (owned by pirate) there is more "Tech" on that forum, and you get UNBIASED opinions, not bashing of non sponsored vendors or manufacturers. You will not find a JK owner on this forum that hasn't been banned on that site for various stupid reasons. Oh BTW welcome...

At which time I was banned for promoting a run - Texas Size Jeep Meet. Eddie took offense to that run because it was posted on this forum and on JKOwners forum- it wasn't posted on those forums by me, just the fact that the run was posted on all 3 forums got Eddie's panties in a wad. I personally would not recommend that site to any newbies. I was a newbie when I found it, and the only parts I learned about there, were the parts that WOL allowed discussion of. There's too many GOOD companies that you can't even discuss there. And its unfortunate that newbies are prevented from learning the full picture

You were a pretty straight laced guy over there. If that is the reason that he banned you then, geeze........ It sounds like JKF(from everything I have read here) is the home owners association of JK forums.......lol.... you can go there, but let the grass get to tall and your fucked...lol... I have never been too big on forums that run that clean.... hence the reason I'm a member on the TRC forum. If this is all true, then I wonder if he will stop letting people link youtube vids over there so that no one ever gets rick rolled..........haha...

I do agree with you. I dont even waste much time posting on pirate..... I just read all the builds, and take in what I feel is the best suited info for me. Everything and anything will get bashed on for something........... Unit #2, fat girls sister rig was getting bashed on........... I mean, C'MON.... one of the baddest fucking rigs ever and about half of the posts were bashing something on it.
