The Movie 300 kicks ass!!! I waited to watch it until I got my big screen HD TV with Bose surround and it was worth the wait..... of course the review is about three years late but it was that good!
It is a damn shame that \"Meet the Spartans\" almost ended up first in this thread.....
OK.. first off I have a pretty decent sense of humor, or so I would like to believe I do anyway. One of my favorite shows of all time is the movie 300 some like it some don\'t.... I think it kicks ass!
You know that I have an insane amount of free time on my hands lately, I was flipping though the channels and saw \"Meet the Spartans\" on Cinemax and thought what the hell.... how bad could it be? Well... it was worse than bad... don\'t waste your time - even with Carmen Electra it is bad....
I have seen some bad movies.... this one takes the cake.

agreed on both accounts... 300- awesome flick! Meet the spartans- horrible. Although the Britney Spears thing was funny.

You CAN wait! Bruno is......... well......... uh........... TERRIBLE! It's not anywhere near as funny as Borat. Wait for DVD, and then suffer thru it at home (make sure there are no kids around though!!!!)

i heard it was bad but i liked borat and most people didn't like that one either. i hardley go to the movies, but i may waste a $1 at redbox for it. probably not now, with steve's comparison of the two

Yeah, I liked Borat- I thought it was hilarious. Was hoping for a repeat of that with Bruno. Boy was I disappointed. That movie should have gone straight to DVD- not only that, it should be sold as "gay porn".

I am going to make up for it by taking a trip to the movies to watch GI Joe.... Kiinda wanted to see District 9 but my dad wants to see GI Joe so...... GI Joe it is this week, District 9 next week.... then The Collector.
It has been years and years since I have gone to the movies to watch something that I wanted to watch... usually just to take my kids to see whatever kids movie is out.. last week I went and saw Hurt Locker.... now another one this week. Kinda nice to get out of the house and move around a little.. the theater in Baytown is nasty - we go to the one at I45 and Beltway 8 (Gulfpoint 30) it is pretty nice.
Will let you know how GI Joe goes... looks a little cheesy.... hopefully it will be better than the previews.

Another one I want to see is Inglorious Bastards
And Final Destination in 3D (when it comes out)

I saw G.I.Joe. It was entertaining. Lots of action. It has a lot of crazy stuff that movies have to do but don't make real sence. But I enjoyed it. I saw it at Gulf Pointe 30.
How is Hurt Locker?
I also wanna see Inglorious Bastards.
Couldn't watch Borat, don't care to watch Bruno. I will rent District 9.

GI Joe..... not bad... very fast... very very fast action - might have had too much hydrocodone and muscle relaxers on board.... It wasn't a bad show but not a great show. I would say that it was worth the price of admission.. .and the hot chick factor is about a 6 (would have been higher with an R rating)
Hurt Locker was a decent show if you know nothing about the military or EOD.... just watch it and enjoy the story. One good thing - no politics like you see in too many shows about the war in Iraq. If you are former or current military just remember it is Hollywood and enjoy the show. If you are an EOD tech don't go see it, it will just piss you off....
Inglorious Bastards is number one on my list along with Dist. 9... The Collector should be a good one too...
Rob Zombie has a Halloween coming out too.... that dude is a genius.
I almost forgot to post my "triangle" for a good movie...

ugh...I JUST came back from seeing District 9...BOY - the 1st 80% of the movie is BORINGGGG!!! Last 20% is what I thought the movie was mostly gonna be like. No spoilers here but - just warning, this movie does not pick up any steam till almost the end. I LOVE sci-fi action crap and this really didn't float my boat...maybe I was expecting too much as it was a Peter Jackson flick. Don't say I didn't warn ya. Again, it's worth it in the last 20 minutes or so when the mech and all the shooting starts - but that's it...!
I give this one a C+
The Hurt Locker + Inglorious Bastards + Final Destination 3D (that one freaks me out though!)...these are all on the must see list next...
