4WP customer run Sept 4-7 2009

The weather looks better for camping, so we are camping Friday night and wheeling Saturday.

No one else is going? It sounds like jdub, Dern, Mr.RonGilbert, MudHound said something about going, and I are going.
I've never been there before, but have seen pictures. I might try to catch up with some of you that are going from here and see if I can tag along in my rig if that would be alright? I'll be heading out around 3:00-3:30ish Friday afternoon. Anyone else going up Friday?

The family and I are payed up, we are going on Saturday.

I still remember people fighting like hell with their tents, the wind was ripping and it was cold as a mo-fo, me and lil G slept in the Jeep and stayed toasty and warm.

N2 and a few others got a hotel room in Leakey.... about a 40m drive

Thanks for the offer! I should be good, as I'm heading over to a friend's backyard shop to give it a shot Friday evening. I've been studying Rokmen's videos on doing the install, and I think it shouldn't be too bad. I could probably use another hand with the fenders whenever they eventually make it in. They're more bolt-on than most, meaning you can even keep your stock air box, and no welding is required, but I can tell an extra pair or two of hands will be very useful.

I simply cannot wait till I get the S35 kit, 4.88's, and Eaton E-Locker installed. That I'll be leaving up to a professional, I think. It would make this 4WP run much more viable. I'm still kind of skittish about breaking the D35 on the trail, though with the LSD it probably wouldn't be too bad, as long as I stay off the gas and don't let it hop around. I guess there would probably be someone around with a spare stock shaft, right?

Of course, I will then be unable to wait till I get a matching E-Locker for the front, too. Of course, I will then be unable to wait till I get a pair of adjustable control arms, CV shaft, SS SYE, electronic speedo adapter box to read the tone ring, and tummy tuck skid.

Dammit this list never ends! :whip:

I tell you what, after the front locker, this is going to be a very capable beast. She already is, but you know...keep on pushin' it. Can't wait.

Me and the family will be going from probably Friday afternoon thru Sunday, maybe Monday. I working on a trailer for my camping supplies now, but it should be done by then.

I might be going, but probably not if I can't get my new fenders, body lift, and S35/E-Locker kit installed first.

It seems kind of a really long weekend. I wonder if we can get a group going for a couple of days? I have no idea how that thing is organized/timelined.
