| On my way to work, my TJ started to pull to the right when I applied the brakes and a slight pull to the left when driving. Then 5 blocks from work it started to smoke out of the front left side, and smelled like burnt... well I really can't describe it.
I'm thinking the front left caliper is sticking?
Will check after it cools down, wheel smoking hot.
What do people think? | |

| Yeah, you might want to consider taking a look at the brakes Actually, look into a Vanco replacement brake kit for TJ's, especially with those 35" tires. AEV makes a big brake kit, too, but you need to use 17's (which they happen to sell), and neither the kit nor the wheels are...reasonably priced. | |

Yeah, they sure like their brakes Well, got a chance to look at my left caliper, fried !!! Boy does that thing smell. The pads had oozed some black crud onto the back of the pads, they must of gotten very hot !!! Since I'm going to replace my caliper, I went an ordered extended stainless steel braided brake lines by Crown all three for $79.95 (I thought this was a good deal) from KnowWhere2Jeep.com. This way I just have to bleed them only once. (smart pretty am I) Lucky me, just got my truck to stop spitting plugs and the Heep decides it wants some attention. Oh, well if it ain't one thing it's another, right !!! | |
