I found this kit:
http://www.quadratec.com/products/16106_201.htm

for about $125 less than quadratec has it listed for. Is that kit any good or should I steer clear?

I don't know, but it seems a little expensive for a budget boost. I guess with shocks it's not so bad, but a 3" coil spacer seems like it's pushing it. Maybe it's different with JK's than TJ's, though.

I thought you had a 4-door?

Yea I do, but I didn't think there would be a difference since all the other budget boosts don't specify that.

Edit:
Here is there website http://www.trailmastersuspension.com/suspension/jeepchart.htm

Who knows?

No, if you want a budget boost with the appropriate shocks, go with Rubicon Express or Teraflex.

Rough Country 2.5" coil lift: http://roughcountry.com/jeep_jk_2perf.html

add to it front swaybar disconnects- I prefer the JKS disconnects. And you're good to go

Edit: I forgot you have a rubi. So no need for disconnects. Just buy longer rear links, and move the stock rear links to the front.

yeah, for the price of that BB, the RC spring lift with shocks looks really good and 2.5" will clear 35s fine. or 34x10.50 super swampers..... Very Happy

I know the Rubicons sit higher than X's and Sahara's, so will it still be a 2.5" lift even though the Rubicon sits higher stock?

I figure the Rubicons have taller spring which make them sit higher. Does that not make sense?

No, man, I'm pretty sure it's all tire. At least, if it's like a TJ, where the only height difference is from the Rubi riding on 31's from the factory as compared to 28's or whatever.

That makes sense as well. I just have never seen a rubi spring vs a sahara or x. I'm new to all this and just trying to get all of the fact cause I would be pretty mad if I spend $400 and only got 1.5 inches lol

Each Wrangler has the same frame and tub.

Rubicons and Saharas have basically the same tire size (32' more or less)

You following me so far.....

Rubicon springs are a bit more stiff than an X or Sahara. (This is where the slight difference in ride height comes in.

If you replace the springs with the RC 2.5's, you're getting a 2.5 - 3 " lift regardless of whether it's a Rubicon, X, or Sahara. Now if you want to split hairs and think a Rubicon sits an inch higher than the others, which it sounds like you are, then fine. You're still not getting robbed of any lift, so sleep well. N2rock has that lift and it is definitely a good kit for the $$$$, and a better value compared to a budget boost.

Steve should post a flex shot for you.

See I learn something new everyday. I just heard on one of the forums that the Rubi sits an inch higher...I guess I was mislead.

Only partially correct... My X came equipped with factory tow package. Which means it had the same coils as the Rubi. So some X and Sahara's are the same height as Rubi's

And yes, that kit will flex! So much so that you will rub the fenders when fully stuffed. You have several options to cure that:
bumpstop extensions
cut the fenders
aftermarket fenders
body lift (this is what I have done now)
or just live with the rubbing- which is what I did for a while. It doesn't hurt anything, just makes a terrible noise when it happens.

oh and as far as which lift..........

take your pick.......untill you get new control arms they are all pretty much equal....

for my $$$$$

i'd pick up some poly performance 3in progresive coils and some long ass shocks.........

then get track bars as you can afford them......then control arms
