Shannonon's new nicknames

Well... Actually it's a toss up between two names

Today, Akonius was cool enough to take us all to the shooting range- All, as in Me, Shannonon, Heather & Hunter. And we had a BLAST! We shot from 11:30 am til 6:30 pm! Tony YOU ROCK!!!

Tony brought quite an arsenal with him- 9mm, H&K 45cal, Glock (AKA the hand cannon), 22 pistol with scope, 22 rifle with scope, AR-15, 12g shotgun, and 30-06... Thru the day, we all found our own favorites to shoot.

Heather's favorite was the AR-15, and the 22 pistol a close 2nd
Hunter's favorite was the 9mm, and the AR-15 a close 2nd
My favorite was the H&K
And Shannon... Well at first it was the Glock, so we called her "Hand Cannon Shannon". But then the shotgun just brought the biggest grin to her face. She loved shooting that thing- we ran out of shells way too fast for her. So we changed her name to "Shotgun Shannon" lol!

It was a great day. The kids shot their first guns. Heather started out the day scared to even touch one. And by the end of the day she had no problems, and fell in love with that AR. Hunter- was pretty natural at it, except for that 22 pistol. He's a lefty, but for some reason aims with his right eye. That didn't work to well with the scope on that pistol.

And we ended the day with the 30-06 and a target at 300yds! My shoulder is going to hurt tomorrow.

OMG! We had so much fun. Don't think I will ever shoot the 30-06 again. I loved the power behind it but the kick is friken torture! Thanks Tony! Very Happy

I had a great time, glad you had a blast...literally! Gotta do that again sometime soon...with more people too! More the merrier!
