lets set up a poll and pick a good time.. i was advised that hunting season aint a good time for a convoy of jeeps to cruise dirt roads since most county roads cut through ranches and hunting camps.. but we can go to my buddys land anytime we want.. 1. so the question is.. would yall rather just come up soon to wheel this land and camp? 2. or wait till after hunting season to do the dirt roads and wheel the property? 3. or we can wheel the land now ,camp out, bbq and do dirt roads later... ( i like that idea) Post up and add a poll. We have a few events coming up: Long Ranch Oct 17th Trail Duty at Hidden Falls Nov 14th (still not confirmed, Renee, hear anything on this yet?) Meeting at Tiagos Nov 15th (could possibly be canceled if Trail Duty goes through Sunday) Meeting at Chris Madrids Dsc 12th Put the other weekends in the poll.

Start a new topic. Before you submit scroll all the way down. You do the poll there.

| well i thought the dirt roads would be the highlight... BUT my coworker has about 80 acres of creekbeds and hills and mud and rocks and lots of room to pitch a tent under the stars.. so im figuring a weekend in november or this month in october we can rally up in junction on a saturday then wheel his land that day AND night then on sunday we can scoot around on the dirt roads and all part ways whenever the time feels right heres it is.. between october and early december yall call it.... im goin to big bend the week of thanksgiving.. | |

| lol.. these are all county roads even though some of em are almost too rough or steep for a regular car.. but throughout the coarse of the day you'll pass more deer than other vehicles..for example.. today i was in my bucket truck and had too bump a bull with my bumper so he would move out of my way... most all the roads cut through big ranches.. but as long as you stay on the county dirt everything is perfectly legal and i believe its 5-6 hours from college station.. my cousin came down once and she said it took her about 5 hours ..so my guess is about 6 for someone that drives normal i'll leave it up to the group to pick the day.. and we'll decide ride length and other details the day of .. without stopping, the ride i take is about 4 hours.. but i like to stop and take breaks so it usually takes me a little longer .. BUT if somethin comes up and someone needs to bail you can get to pavement within 30 minutes or so .. | |
