| I apologize for the bad link. Thanks for the correction Ron. Most of the facts are correct. We will be wheeling the 24th and 25th. The cost is $60 per driver and $30 per passenger. That will include 1 night of camping and Saturday evening's meal, and a ticket for the driver for the give away of a 8k winch. There are a lot of other cool things that will be raffled away as well including Spurs tickets and a Caribbean Cruise. The 4:30 time the park will be opened to the general public to enjoy the entertainment, meet some of the wounded soldiers from Ft. Hood and BAMC, meet with several movie and TV stars, purchase raffle tickets and dinner. Entrance is free, donations encouraged. If you're interested in helping we need help mostly in serving dinner and clean-up. You can get with one of us from Midnight Four Wheelers when you get there and we can get you hooked up. Again, this is the fund raiser for the actual event that will be in May 2010. There will be some soldiers (about 100) coming in at 4:30 for the entertainment. For the event in May we are expecting about 350 soldiers and they will be there for the rides. | |

| Heh, nothing erodes your confidence in the accuracy and completeness of reporting in the media like being involved in or knowledgeable about a story I'll drop Richard Cruz a line. Thanks! | |

| That link shows an error, unfortunately.
When's the deadline to sign up for this? I'm considering going, but I don't know for sure yet.

Thanks for the clarification, I thought it was going to be the same thing that we did last time. It's still a cool place to wheel. Ant the prize list looks cool as well. I hope the turnout is good!

I suggest that you forget about Jason for this event, go to Hidden Falls and take some troops - and their families - wheeling, bid on some cool prizes, listen to some music and enjoy a nice October weekend doing something cool for those who have sacrificed so much to allow us to enjoy what we do. | The WFTW event has very little to do with Jason and everything for the wounded warriors. It was a great concept that he had, his business skills may have been lacking. Last I heard he was making some but not all of the events. He is allowing them to continue, even whithout him (he owns the "rights"). Richard Cruz ( midnight_crawler@sbcglobal.net) from Midnight Fourwheelers is putting the time and effort into it and can answer any questions you have better than I can. I do know that the commanders at BAMC and Ft. Hood are fully behind this as well as the town of Marble Falls. This is all about the soldiers and not about Jason. As far as I know all of the proceeds are going to the event in May. I'll be there looking to do some good wheeling and have a great time.

| So do you know whats up with WFTW? Last I saw the guy in charge dropped everything half way through (including deleting most of his stuff on the internet). I believe I even recalled him stating before that the Jeep and all would be auctioned off for the cause, but I'm sure he's still enjoying the ride. The concept for the cause is great. But not sure about the management behind the scenes. Before I contribute, I want to know more (everything) | |
