| Ok, I kinda let the cat out of the bag on jkowners.com. I think The October run to Long's may be the last run in my JK. Some of you guys already know the the wife and I are seperated, so I'm trying to cut expenses. The things I have been contemplating is keeping the JK and selling the tow rig. But in doing this I would worry about how I wheel my rig, and many of you know that is not my style. I really want to push the rig to it's limits, and not worry about breaking, getting back to work on monday etc... That was the main reason in buying the tow rig. But if I keep the JK, I feel that I would need to put in another 5K at a minimum to get it were I would feel comfortable wheeling and DD the thing. Option #2 Keeping the tow rig, and building a YJ or TJ (have a line on a TJ frame for $300). Plans for it would be a 3 link front and back halved 4 link rear with coilovers, chevy 5.3 or 6.0L and 700R4, dana 300 with 4:1 gears, and possibly with a np231 doubler...one ton axles on 40's. I would do a highline fender mod, basically cutting 3.5 to 4" out of the hood and moving the tube fenders up, running approx 4-5" of lift, comp cutting the rear and going to a 105" wheelbase. and keeping it street legal I figure I can do this in the $7-8K range doing the majority of the fab myself, and finding the right deals, basically finding a frame and building up from there. Option #3 keeping both, and not getting to wheel I built this rig below for about $6000, basically starting with a frame, but no coiler overs... | |

| ALRIGHT FUCKTARD........ i'll play OPTION #1..............wait, what was option 1???????? OPTION #2......... i love building shit but building a quality rig on that budget is damn near imposible.., and is going to take forever OPTION #3.......... whats the point of keeping it if you can't wheel???? redneck's option #4 ............ sell the jk.........buy this http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=799959rednecks option #5............ get a better J. O. B. rednecks option #6.............send the kiddo's to africa.......(only $.25 per day for food, clothing and medicine) and party like a rock star redneck's option #7 ............... turn the garage into a meth lab/ pot greenhouse and solve all your finacial problems while enriching your neighbors lives i could come up with more options all night but i digress oh, yea and screw that tj frame..........tj frames are worthless........to get any uptravel and keep a low cog you have to hack 3 ft of frame front and rear ..........and you are adding a new drivetrain so new mounts......just build it from scratch......... | |

| Wait a minute If the JK is paid for- why bother? If it's not paid for- how much do you really expect to get out of it? I mean, you have beat the piss out of it. Not to mention you have modified the hell out of it. Not knowing what you owe- could you really sell it for enough to pay it off AND give you enough extra money to do the build you want? Otherwise you're just trading one debt for another. Me thinks you're just bored with your JK | |

| I'm still making payments, on both vehicles owe about 16K on the Jeep. So I'll make a few bucks on it, even in the condition it is in, but will have a few things fixed on it if I sell it, like the soft top, and the couple of dings in it . Like I said I'm not quite sure exactly what I am going to do yet, and giving myself a little time to think about it. I won't make a decision until after the Long's Trip. I may end up keeping both, cut a few other expenses out for now, and when the tax return and bonuses come in, just go ahead and pay off the truck. Who knows, right now, I'm just trying to look at all the angles, and trying to get everything in order. No matter what I WILL HAVE A JEEP in the driveway, bottom line | |

OPTION #1..............wait, what was option 1???????? putting the 5K in the JK, and selling the truck
OPTION #2......... i love building shit but building a quality rig on that budget is damn near imposible.., and is going to take forever That there is the problem... I love building chit, almost as much as wheeling. and I already have some of the parts accumulated..
OPTION #3.......... whats the point of keeping it if you can't wheel???? I could, just cutting a few other expenses, and paying off the truck in feb/march
redneck's option #4 ............ sell the jk.........buy this http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=799959 Hmm... that's an option also
rednecks option #5............ get a better J. O. B. Only way for me to do this is to go overseas, and get the big bucks, but then there really would be no wheeling, plus we are the only refinery hiring right now
rednecks option #6.............send the kiddo's to africa.......(only $.25 per day for food, clothing and medicine) and party like a rock star haha.. or I could just sell them.... but they would just be brought back to me, and expecting a refund
redneck's option #7 ............... turn the garage into a meth lab/ pot greenhouse and solve all your finacial problems while enriching your neighbors lives hmm... not a bad idea, but I don't know how well I would do in prison
