| So, I am headed to work Monday evening and my T176 transmission decided to get stuck in fourth gear and lock out the slight hope of catching any other gear. Luckily I am only down the road and managed to get her home. My girlfriend takes me to work and I punk the little bad jail kids because I am already pissed off. Leaving work it starts to ran really hard, so I rush home because the jeep is topless and not in the carport (due to the transmission). I had to push the Jeep up a slight incline to roll it into the carport(while my girlfriend sit in the driver seat holding down the clutch) during the down pour. Then on Tuesday it rained all morning until about 3pm, after the rain i started to get to work. I took the top cover off of the trans and reset all the shift forks put it all back together and no go, still in 4th gear. Did it all over again and same thing. So its dark now and I call it a night (still pissed off), sitting in my living room thinking to myself you idiot you forgot to reset the collars to line up with the forks. So this morning I went out, set the collars to neutral and put it back together. It is working for now. But I am still pissed off. | |
