Anyone have any insight on something like this? Not really wanting a rear view one, just for the front. I'm going to start recording while I drive due to so many ignorant drivers who cause accidents and then lie their $%$'s off to cover their lying $%$'s. It would be great to just have the officer walk to the jeep and say take a "peak at this", no words needed.
Any input on this would be appreciated. Thanks.

you can prolly just throw together a simple mount out of plexiglass or wood to hold the cam while driving I made a mount that clamps to my laptop mount so I can record while 4x4ing/driving

What kind of camera do you intend to use?
Do you want to control movement of the camera?
If so, what kind of interface do you want to it? (Joystick control, no control [i.e. 'move by hand when needed'], pre-programmed moves, etc.)
I.e., if you're just mounting a very light camera in a largely fixed position (hand-adjustable) a simple RAM mount will probably suffice.
However, if you want to control the mount (motorized), I can point you in the right direction once I know what kind of camera (size/weight) and what kind of control (joystick mounted somewhere, remote control, push buttons on the mount when you want to move it, etc.)

Not at all, I was surprised at how easy it turned out to be and am ecstatic with the results!
Tx Rubi, as for the camera, let me get on ebay and I'll link you to it and it will describe it to you better than I can myself. Give me a few to get that link posted.
Thank you Randy, and the steak was great too! You got it gonna' on mister!

Check out EpicStealthCam.com they have a pretty cool rig i'm looking at getting for filming action shots on trail rides. I've done some with a simple dash mount and a digital camera but i think you are looking for something a little more discrete.
