| Yo, just wanted to say I got me a new winch. Smittybuilt XRC8000lb. It cost me 325 walk out so i was happy about the price, and it has a 2 yr warranty. Now I just gotta figure out a way to mount it. | |

| That is plenty of winch...don't let anyone tell you otherwise! I hear it all the time with my Warn 8000. I just tell them that I won't pull them out if they need it Warn makes a mount that goes on the stock bumper. | |

| I have seen some pretty nice setups recessing the winch inside frame rails using the factory bumper. I'll see if I can find them. | |

| Here it is... If I already didn't have my Shrockworks. I would have to REALLY considered this. I still might, I still have my factory bumper sitting in the garage. | |

| Yea, so I installed my winch today. It is broke. I need to take it back. The clutch switch is messed up. I'm kinda pissed about it cause i spent so much time putting it on, but it happens so i just have to deal with it. Good thing have that warranty. (Somebody didn't show up to work the day my winch was made...) | |

| Well to update everyone. Today I called 4 wheel parts and they didn't have another XRC8 so they said they will have a new one shipped. I asked if they have a XRC10 (10000lbs) 200bux more though :duh: . So I didn't want to wait and figured the XRC10 would be better anyway. I got it home and when I went to put it on I noticed the winch cable had a tiny cut in it. I'm talking about two little strands. I just want to say that this is my luck. This is twice I've had to deal with stupid crap. Well I contacted smittybilt and they are going to send me a new cable. Hopefully I'll get the cable soon then i'm good to go. By the way this winch does work and I can't wait to try it out. | |

| Update, Smittybilt sent me a new winch cable since the other one was frayed. Well they sent me the wrong size cable, it is too small. I should have figured that they would screw up again. Oh well I called them and talked to a manager and he said sorry and they will send me the right one right away! I'm pretty much tired of dealing with this crap. | |
