Yahoo allows you to do drag the route line around too. Just for the hell of it, I just tried google maps from Sugar Land and it gave me the same (longer) route that it did for Akonius... So I think the point being made here is, why does google automatically default to the longer route? That just makes no sense at all. You shouldn't have to drag the route around trying to locate the fastest route. Even stranger- when I drag the google maps route to match the Yahoo route, google still tells me its over 5 hours. Google also says that it is 248 miles while yahoo says it is 220 miles. I'm trusting yahoo on this one because yahoo's mileage and time is the same as what my GPS is saying.

| lesson for today- DO NOT use google for directions LOL
The route that Yahoo gave you is the same route my GPS gives. And my GPS gives that route regardless of if I choose "fastest route" or "shortest route". IOW- google maps is fucking you over!

| I thought it was like a 5 hour drive too according to Google maps...but, you're right - 3.5 hours to Llano going off of Yahoo Maps! Hmmm...I guess, according to GOOGLE MAPS - Staying on I-10 is gonna add 1.5 hours to the ride. I guess we'll try the Yahoo Maps route instead... | |

its about a 5 hr drive, right? My GPS is saying 3.5 hours from Sugar Land. I imagine it would be the same from where you are.

I'll let you know when it gets closer. Hutch- if you want to work a few hours, you can still make it to my house by 4. Run up with us. Although we won't be stopping at Longs, going straight into Llano.
