Doing the Hella conversion on the JK

Don't the JK's stock headlights suck? It drives me nuts. I didn't want to spend the cash for Daniel Stern's stuff and the new Truck Lite LED headlights are ridiculously expensive. I read that many people were happy with the Hella conversion and it's priced reasonably well too.

I'll do a review once I get them in hand. Is anyone else running the Hella's?

On my TJ I converted to IPF H4 housings with their X4 xenon (halogen + 1) bulbs, and they're really nice. The stock headlights basically just leaked light. You could also consider going with a DDM slim ballast HID kit, but you need replacement housings (I've heard good things about Hella) and may need to play around a little to achieve a sharper cut-off.

The kit I'm getting has new lenses so HOPEFULLY it will be much better than stock. Everyone who has this same conversion seems to really like it. They say that it's very close to the Daniel Stern (CIBIE) lights.

i am going to do something with my headlights... i am thinking projectors in the front bumper somehow. my current bumper doesn't have holes in the front, so i may have to make something...

projectors in the stock location look funny... jeep gets bug eyed.
