| The last trip to longs was all the motivation i needed to start the build of my beater... we pulled the body off my K5 Blazer and Im using all the running gear (10 & 12 bolt axles with the 350 and turbo 400) and were setting my 53' willys CJ-3B highhood body on it.. my buddy brought his crane truck and we took the body off my blazer thursday.. we were checking out the exposed chasis and motor etc. and thinkin about maybe going carburated so we can keep it clean and simple.. keeping the throttle body injection would be a pain in the butt with all the wiring and stuff.. do yall think keeping the throttle body injector worth the hassle and clutter? i'll post more pics as the build continues... and if anyone wants to help turn a wrench or drink a beer your more than welcome hopefully when were done it just looks like a monster willys | |

| I agree with keping the fuel injection vs. the carb. Nothing better than trying to start your rig cause the carb flooded . | |

- I plan on keeping the TBI.. i yanked out all the computer shit today and did the mock up of what it'll look like... i need to stretch the body 32" so the fenders line up with the tires.. and after that it'll leave me with about 1' of rear frame for a good roll cage mount.. im thinking exo cage since i dont wanna destroy this 53' willys body... hopefully shes ready to play this spring.. its earned the name "Jeezer" for Jeep Blazer.. it sure makes them 38's look small....
How about shortening the frame. Not that I know how to do it.........

| How could you do that to a Willy's? That's just wrong!
Dude seriously ditch the body and build a tube buggy, it will look cooler and function better and you wont be defacing a poor little willy LOL
