| WTF is up with Jeep. Their new ads are still showing the half doors...are they teasing us or are they going to start offering them again? | |

| Checked with my dealer yesterday, still no pricing on the doors themselves. You have to order the doors and the interior panels separately, but the interior panels are about $130 each. The parts guy is gonna call me as soon as he gets pricing. He checked inventory on them, and the closest site for Jeep that stocks them is New Orleans, and they show a -6 inventory. Could be awhile. | |

| likely the least expensive way to go for half doors http://www.quadratec.com/showcases/bestop_jeep_tops/highrock_4x4/element_Doors/4door_jk.phpFront Element Door $286.99 Rear Element Door $286.99 Paint to Match Front Enclosure $344.99 or Black Powder Coated Front Door Enclosure $144.99 Paint to Match Rear Enclosure $319.99 or Black Powder Coated Rear Door Enclosure $119.99 Front Upper Windows $289.99 Rear Upper Windows $289.99 Still too expensive for me... Besides, if I went that route, I would go with soft doors so that I could just throw them in the back whenever I wanted to go doorless | |

| I'm running an 09 Unlimited with half doors and they're awesome when the weather cooperates. If you get them from the factory, they're going to be nosebleed prices. It would have been nice if they could have designed the window portion to be pulled off and thrown in the back. Their bulky, plastic frame keeps it from being a reality. Maybe one day I'll try to figure out some kind of holder in the cargo area..... GEORGE!!! | |

| Yeah, the top half comes off. It's just a little bulky because they're a plastic frame likely designed to stay sealed up over the years. They're not flat and rather wide on the bottom so even if you stacked them in the back and laid a towel or something in between, they'd likely shift and slide a bit before finding their settling point. I just meant it would have been nice if Jeep would have designed someway to have them stand vertically in the back (to take up less room) so that you can bring them along just in case you get caught out in a storm... or your wife decides it's too cold outside to be driving at highway speeds without the windows on. I thought I was going to be in the doghouse for awhile on that one. | |

| For those of you that haven't seen them yet, the Factory Half Door Prices are out and listed on Jeep's website. Look under "FOR OWNERS", "PARTS & ACCESSORIES", "WRANGLER ACCESSORIES", "EXTERIOR", "DOOR KIT & COMPONENTS", "HALF DOORS".
Prices listed are:
Doors - $1,100 Set Upper Doors (Windows) - $345 Set Door Panels (Khaki/Black) - $155/$149 Set
Now... FYI, there are TWO listing for the Half Doors. The one I listed above, "DOOR KIT & COMPONENTS" and "DOOR KITS & COMPONENTS". The one listed as, KIT, are the Factory Half Doors. The one listed as KITS, are the optional Bestop Element Doors.
Best of Luck!
Cheers!

| Moper e-store82212124 $1,100 Front Half Door Kit, primed, comes complete except for trim panels. 82212123 $1,150 Rear Half Door Kit, primed, comes complete except for trim panels. 82212125 $155 Front Half Door Interior Trim Panels, Khaki 82212126 $149 Front Half Door Interior Trim Panels, Black 82212127 $149 Rear Half Door Interior Trim Panels, Black 82212128 $149 Rear Half Door Interior Trim Panels, Khaki 82212131 $345 Front Upper Half Door Windows, Khaki 82212132 $345 Front Upper Half Door Windows, Black 82212133 $345 Rear Upper Half Door Windows, Khaki 82212134 $345 Rear Upper Half Door Windows, Black And here's the installation kit instructions (which looks like you have to assemble the internals too): Front Door KitRear Door KitSo it looks like it's roughly $1,600 for a primed 2-door kit and $3,240 for a primed 4-door kit at MSRP. That's not bad compared to the price of piecing the kits yourself. And if you're only getting them to run half doors during nice weather, you could always skip the upper half. | |
