Xbox 360 on houstoncraigslist

Need a 360 (mine has issues), never bought anything on craigslist, but have sold through them. Hear mixed stories on purchases both good & bad. The sellers grammar makes it clear they aren't your local GameStop, which is ok but the price is questionable. This Xbox 360 Elite 120gb edition sells for $300 pretty much everywhere and these guys are selling them for $118. Well my youngest son drove up to visit this weekend, do a little gaming, he loaned me "Call of Juarez" western FPS and he threw in his hardrive, played a good 1/2 hour. Threw my hd back in after he left and it started doing the "green tint", which from what I researched means the GPU or video card is on the blitz. The component cables are fine as well. Tried couple other games, same thing, even the desktop will go green when playing a high impact game (explosions, car wrecks, etc). Haven't played any games in the last couple months, so it's just been sitting, but have watch a few DVDs in it with no issues.

That's what's wrong with it, any ideas or is it something you could fix possibly?

What happens when your HD isn't in it? Is there still a Green tint?

Yes, still green. Even uninstalled the game, cold booted, threw the game back in and same green eventually. It would be ok for about 30 seconds or so when I'd start whatever game. I even switched the HDTV to TV and used the RCA (red, white, yellow) jacks, still green. The cables fine. When it goes green in the game, if you back out of the game the desktop has the green tint as well until I reboot.

Dude- look at their phone number! Its an international phone number- yeah, send them your money and never hear from them again

check out their website- they have Macbook Pro's for $300. Yeah, I trust them! LOL

Good catch Steve, didn't even see that, I'd never have sent them money much less anyone else on craigslist, if it's a local seller, I'd consider picking up/paying in person or no deal, same as when I sell something on there.

Kinda figured as much, oh well, not forking the cash for another one for awhile, saving for some bare steel for a custom rear bumper/tire carrier I want to build myself.
