| here it is I need ideas on what i should do besides fixing it up.... im thinking a water tank, fuel cell somewhere, air tank, wire it for rv hook up , lights and radio, and a tent design so I can sleep in the bed. also im thinking a bbq grill to fit in one of the cubby's above tires i think this could be a sick lil setup ... i couldnt pass it up for 290.00 american money!! pulls good to.. I picked this up in the dfw area near my parents place and pulled it back yesterday it did well fully loaded the JEEP didnt like it seeing stock gears and 35's not enough power for the hill country crazy what a lil pressure washer can do to it... i meant to add, im gonna either paint it rescue green to match or a light tan color | |

| that thing has potential my friend! You're on the right track with the water tank and camping essentials, I might recomend checking into a used RV range top that might fit into one of the tall corner boxes and slide out on a track. Also, In the category of the tent design; If it were mine to do, I would build the frame out of tubing (say some 3/4" Dia. galvanized conduit, as its fairly easy to bend and they make many types of connections for it) and have the material sewn at a canvas/upholstery shop. I dont know if there is one here, but in Henderson tx theres a guy who does everything from jeep tops and doors to industrial grade vinyl tarps like what you would see on a drilling rig. He copied the fastback top that I had on my CJ, new windows and all for around 150 bucks. Just saying, If you went with something like that, It would be pretty durable, and you could have windows. | |
