Howdy All,

I just found out about this forum, been lurking on another one for the past year. Looking to learn how to offroad safely, without tearing up the Jeep, since it is my DD. Looking forward to meeting some of yall and checking out all the awesome Jeep mods.

"Looking to learn how to offroad safely, without tearing up the Jeep,"

You came to the right place. There's a lot of us that have been in that boat, and have survived to tell the tale. Then there are some (cough cough joe jody cody) that did tear up their Jeeps- just don't follow any of those guys and you'll be fine.

Oh- beware of that Redneckhouston clown. He'll lead you directly into trouble every time, and then flame you in the process.

Awesome! Do you make it to the local BVORR meets? I can't make this weekends meet, but I intend to start making the rest of them. All I really lack to wheel my Jeep is a good set of tires, still have the stockkers. Unfortunately new tires are a ways off.

First time I wheeled BVORR was bone stock (well, OK I had a aftermarket front bumper and fog lights). But suspension and tires were stock. You would be impressed at what your rig can/will do out there, even with those stock tires.

Thanks for the link, looks like a fun place, and a fun trip. The sad thing about it, up until I got the Jeep I did not know that park was there. Even worse, I live less than a mile from it Shocked

I was planning on going this wkd for my first one (Same thing with me....still stock, but people convinced me I should go, and I really wanna start wheeling...figured why not)...but the bad thing is that with all of the rain (and SNOW today) they will probably close it down for wheeling. Im still planning on going to the meeting though.

Yeah, I was hoping to make this weekend, but have family coming in so that ends those plans.... But your'e probably correct, I would imagine they won't allow wheelin to protect the trails. I'd still like to make the meeting but I don't know if my family will still be in town.....
