I have recently become an independant dealer for Amsoil. I can show you how to purchase at my cost directly from the warehouse and have the product directly sent to you. The warehouse is in Dallas so freight will be relatively low. I plan on putting packages together for JKs, TJs, or whatever you need. Most of the folks I have spoken to do not know about the air filters that Amsoil sells. They flow better and filter more than most of the competition. They also have a "sock" to cover most filters on cai setups. Much better for dusty situations, and these can be cleaned with air and have no oil to buy. I should be getting some catalogs soon. Let me know if you need anything and if I can't answer your questions I will get the answers for you.

Thanks for your time, Randy

Ok folks, Thank you for your patience. The fastest way (and cheapest) to get product is to goto http://www.amsoil.com/ on the left margin look for preferred customer. You will save way more than the $10 by buying wholesale. I don't make any profit on this, but still get credit for the sale which helps you folks price wise and I get credit. Add the preferred customer to your cart and shop for the oil/filters you would like. If you put the make / model the product selection finder will show exactly what is recommended for your rig. When you fill your shopping cart and progress to check out it will ask for a "ZO#" 1820022 is my number. Please call if there are any questions about what selection is best for you.

I'm looking at stuff for my TJ and I see things like "Differential, Front W/ TT" and "Differential, Front W/O TT". WTF is a TT? I only know it as a "tummy tuck" which isn't exactly applicable to this...

TT stands for trailer towing as far as I can tell. I would suggest http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/svg.aspx pt.#AGLQT

and if necessary part #ADA
I don't know if your E-lockers require an additive.

Thanks for playing "stump the Amsoil guy"

I won't be towing any trailers. And as far as I know the E-Lockers don't need any additive. They certainly don't need any LSD additive if that's what you're talking about. There's no LSD involved.

I'm sure you have checked to make sure that it isn't low...How about some more info like what weight and viscocity you are using? What brand Oil filter did you go with? I just started using Amsoil in my Yamaha motorcycle and i was happy with the results although i DID switch to a heavier weight.

I called the pirate and Amsoil today about this problem. I believe what is happening is we found an anomoly in the canbus system. The Amsoil fella had never heard of this occuring and said the new oil should run cooler and the coolant temp should have been elevated also (which it was not). We also talked about the obvious stuff like a blocked cooler etc.. Kenny said it only happened one time in 4hi on the beach at about 20mph (shouldn't be a severe load). With the new canbus systems there is so much stuff going on at one time that occasionally an anomoly (or glitch) triggers a false error. With the equipment/ vehicles I work on daily, I go through this regularly. We have 11 rigs with this type system and it is a pain. If this occurs the proper manufacturer recommended action is to reboot the system and see if it comes back. By shutting off and restarting the Jeep it should acomplish this. Several computer modules are talking to each other constantly and restarting reintroduces them.

Hope this helps, Randy

Randy,

I just ordered 11quarts of oil and a filter for our CRD. I put your name and dealer number in the "name of dealer and/or referral number" field. Hopefully this gets you a little credit.

Tim
