What I'm more impressed with is the welding, now that's what decent welding should look like. This was SOP (standard operating procedure) for Navy high-pressure welding and of course technique carried over to standard fabrication welding. Sure wish I had my old equipment from the Navy, we had 3 Emergency Welders on our ship that weighed 250 lbs each...lol...they were carryovers from the 70s and replaced with 30 lbs units after 1yr, but they laid the smoothest welds, could be used for stick, mig or my favorite tig and to this day I'm still trying to find one from a surplus dealer.
