orange farm triangles on a 4wd. streetable?

Me and G got to talkin today about possibly being able to put farm triangles on our 4wd's to "LEGALLY" drive them short distances? I drove mine to the old town spring crawfish festival this past weekend with an orange triangle and the cops just waved at me but im still not sure its 100% legal. The way i see it, farm equipment is not streetlegal, tagged, insured, nothing. So is there a law that states we can not do the same thing?

I think that the vehicle has to be primarily used as a farm vehicle for doing actual work on the farm, not wheeling on it. Throw a bail of straw in the back and you should be good

but i see a guy drive around spring on a freakin garden tractor with his scrap can trailer.........lol. thats not farm equip

It's not legal.... it really depends on who stops you. Some will write you up some won't.... better than good chance that DPS will write you a ticket. You might carry along a box of donuts (with sprinkles) if you get pulled over you can throw them down and make a run for it.
