| After spending 1-2 hours vaccuming carpets after beach trips, I've decided my next mod is bedlining the tub... I am going back and forth with the spray on Raptor kit or the roll on Herculiner kit. Both about the same price. Anyone done this and got any opinions on either product? | |

| Yeah, I have a Raptor kit I'm selling to DangerMouse there. I'll end up rolling on Monstaliner. Don't go with Herculiner. It's crumb rubber crap that fades to gray at the first sight of sunlight. | |

Hey Deacon, do I pick that kit up from you after you back from your "Safari"? | |

| We are supposed to do Cucuy's ride (inside the tub) along with DM's. I am very pleased with the Raptor product. If you want to check it out let me know. I am not sellin' the stuff...just showin' off. I think its important to check out the finished product before dropping the coin. Let me know... | |

| The kit comes with 4 bottles. Randy did the whole exterior of his jeep and still had a bottle left over....maybe 2 bottles but not sure. I'm sure a kit will be enough for the interior of your 4dr. | |

| We did a spray on liner in my brothers jeep, and spray in is the way to go. Stay away from the roll on it sucks. I have put herculiner on bumpers before and it was ok but not something I would want in my jeep.

| The mistake you're making there is confusing application method with product quality. There are crappy spray-on liners and quality roll-on liners just like there are quality spray-on liners and crappy roll-ons. | |

| I did my Jeep with 2 relatively light coats. When doing the tub I would suggest 2-3 heavy coats and use as much material as possible to make it thicker. one kit should be plenty as DM said. At Gladwin here in town a kit is $130. By the time you get tape and some etching primer (for bare spots) and sand paper, you will spend $200. I have the gun, air, and a D/A sander so don't buy those. You can find the kit cheaper on line if you would like. Let me know if I can help. Stacy said Line x charged $700 to line her tub and she removed everything... | |

| Cool, I'll go with the Raptor kit then. Found it online for $99.00. A friend of mine did his brush guard on his work truck and I liked the finished product. I was just really worried about spray-over with a spray kit. How was the application? | |

| I like the idea of a bedliner in the tub, but I've taken the carpet out of my 2010 and noticed a LOT of what looks like a 2 part epoxy beads running the width of the tub floor. If I were to line mine I'd want it thick enough to cover that up. | |

| We were all talking about that a couple of Saturdays ago at Renee's house working on Marshall's Jeep. Randy said we could probably grind it off then spray the Raptorlining and no one would know. | |

| Yeah, that's all just seam sealer, isn't it? You can scrape/chisel it out. It varies from Jeep to Jeep, but the factory seems to go way overboard with that stuff, just slopping it on there. | |

| Actually I believe its intended to be a sound deadener. With the liner I think it will work as good if not better than the factory stuff. Linex sprayed over Stacy's and it looks good. I would like to try to grind it down and give it a shot (no pun intended). It will who gives me enough time with their JK and how much damn work it is. | |

| anyone know a place to pick up the Raptor kit on the south side of town, or do I have to order it? I can't find anywhere that has it. I have a 3 day weekend this weekend so I would like to knock it out, but shipping is too long w/o paying a fortune. | |

| Gladwin paint on Broadway n. of downtown is where I got mine. They have plenty in stock. If you use black it is cheaper, but they have a tintable version also, if you want to borrow my gun let me know. Our annual Arbor Day party is Sat., and lots of the JN folks will be out here if you want to pick up the gun come sample some ribs... Gladwin's #(210) 223-2695 My #(210) 744-7553 | |
