| Hi all, I put the 33's on my TJ today. But if I turn hard right/left they rub the frame. What should I do? New wheels? Wheel spacers? Rub down the rubber? lol Michael | |

| Well... You have a few options. The first option is to shim the steering stops so that "full lock" happens before they rub. This reduces your turning radius, though. The second category of options revolves around pushing the tires further outboard so they don't rub at factory full lock. This basically means you get a wheel with shallow backspacing (my Mickey Thompson Classic II's have only ~3.3" of backspacing (3 5/16") and run 35x12.50 without a problem), use wheel spacers, or heck, go full width | |

| I heard wheel spacers are not good. Is this correct? Can they break or wear out? | |

| Being that the rims are stockers then spacers are your answer. | |

But you have a friend that does.... the same one that helped with the lift... the same one that usually helps everyone with any jeep project. If you're still wondering, his name starts with a J and ends with a onathan . | |

| So my back tire was rubbing the top of the new springs. Basically cut a round hole in the new back tire today. Why would only one rub? Why would it rub? Why didn't anyone warn me not to get bigger tires? | |

| Actually it is because when you lifted it and didn't adjust the track bar it moved the axle to the right. was it the left tire that rubbed? | |

| I don't know who you use for tire rotations and all that good stuff, but if you use Discount Tire, they WILL NOT work with spacers, period. Just FYI. | |

| You need to adjust the rear track bar, maybe the front too. You need spacers or different wheels. I went with 33x10.5 tires since I wanted to keep my stock wheels but I am still using washers on the steering stops. I am thinking on getting spacer to get it back to factory full turn radius. | |
